Sooooooooooooooo, we finally had our “homewarming” and it exceeded my expectations. There was a shit-ton of food (Filipino, Jamaican, mac n cheese, vegetarian lasagna, etc.). All of my guy’s family was there, even the ones from far away, and my best friends came too. Lots and LOTS of alcohol was had - for me: a strawberry mojito, Heinekens, moonshine, and way too many mimosas.
But beyond the party itself, I’m really grateful that everyone came to support and celebrate this step that we’ve taken together and the love that’s built a home. Corny, but true.
